Being out of the country for 24 years made it very difficult for my wife and I to try find out about booking a Kruger Park trip to South Africa from the other side of the world. Finaly we found a company called Endless Summer Tours who basically tailored a custom tour around our needs, schedule and budget. We were picked up by our Tour Guide Rhys Dawkins from the JNB Airport and wisked away towards our destination to the Northern part of the country passing by the most amazing scenery you have ever seen. We stopped for lunch in Nelspruit for supplies and of course Castle lagers and biltong for the 3 day adventure. We arrived at the Sabie Park Guest house not knowing what to expect, but as we entered the private reserve and wound our way through the african bushveld made me realise I was truely home again after being away for so long. Seeing Zebra and Giraffe walking in front of you as you entered into the guest house property. The house was spacious and Rhys went out of his way to treat us like family. Woke us up with coffee every morning. Then we headed out towards the Kruger Park which borders the Sabie Park. He cooked breakfast for us every morning at a different rest camp within the park, he knew exactly what he was doing as all the places he chose were stunning views of the Kruger Park. His knowledge of the Fauna Flora and the different animals and birds was very impressive, he seemed to be enjoying himself and getting just as excited as we were. Dinners were a Braai prepared completely by our host Rhys who made the best chow! We did a night walk after dinner looking for bush babies. Our time to leave came by so fast as we had the most amazing time with Rhys and Kruger Park. One last walk around the house found a mother and baby giraffe feeding in the trees was a perfect way to remember our adventure.. Thanks again Rhys for making our Kruger Park trip the best time we could ever have had.. Bernard and Argie Samra Santa Ana California..

8 Day golf & Safari – R 14 900 pp/s

10% discount for groups 4 or more…

bonamanzi

This package starts out exactly the same as our 10 day package, but is shortened for guests with less time and who wish to do a shorter trip. Play the same four fabulous courses as on the extended version, ending with an unforgettable stay at Bonamanzi Bush Lodge. The lodge is situated on a small nature reserve just outside the Hluhluwe Game Reserve where you will take daily game drives to search for the BIG 5.

Day 1

umtumvunasunsetdeck

We will pick you up at Durban International airport and transport you down the coast to the Umtumvuna Gorge and nature reserve. Take your time to settle in and get acquainted with your surroundings, maybe take a short walk down to the river? That evening we will go to the top of the gorge to have sundowners on the boardwalk and realise you have arrived in Africa! Return to your accommodation for a welcome dinner out on the balcony.
Accommodation:
You will be accommodated at Vuna Valley Venture a beautiful B & B set into the hillside of the gorge, a mere 100 meters from the nature reserve and river.

Day 2

wildcoastgolfcourse

Wake to the smell of fresh coffee and a sizzling breakfast as you prepare for your first challenge. Cross over the river into the old ‘Transkei’, a homeland set aside for the African population during apartheid, which for many years was not governed by SA law. Therefore when laws prohibiting gambling within SA were passed, developers crossed the river to build the ‘Wild Coast Casino and Resort’ where these laws did not apply. This is the location of your first challenging round of golf. Once you’ve landed that eagle, return to Vuna to freshen up before returning to the casino for supper (own account) and a night out!
Accommodation:
Vuna Valley Ventures.

Day 3

sanlameer

Start this day much like the day before, after breakfast travel a short distance to play San Lameer Golf Course an immaculate course set on a housing estate. We now move locations to a small coastal town about 30 minutes north. Once settled, take a drive down to the beach to enjoy the coastal atmosphere. Supper will be served at the hotel where you will be staying.
Accommodation:
You will be accommodated at Selbourne Golf Estate and Spa, a lovely hotel set amongst the coastal bush, with amazing gardens to take a stroll in.

Day 4

selborne

Take in a leisurely breakfast as you will be playing Selbourne itself, so no traveling today. Spend the day having a round of golf at this magnificent course and then sit back and relax as the rest takes care of its self. In the evening go out to town for supper (own expense) and see how things move at their own pace in these quaint holidays towns.
Accommodation:
Selbourne Hotel

Day 5

umdoni1

Today you play a less well known course, Umdoni. As far as we are concerned this is the jewel of the South Coast, a challenging course, well kept and with sea views that are unrivaled. We guarantee you will love this course, a real diamond in the ROUGH (so to speak). Spend the afternoon having sundowners at the clubhouse which has the most spectacular 180 degree sea view, before you return to Selbourne for dinner.
Accommodation:
Selbourne

Day 6

elephant-hluhluwe

We wake early today and head north after breakfast to go explore something wild! It’s a Two and a half hour drive to the St. Lucia Wetland Park, proclaimed a world heritage site in    . It consists of a wetland and estuary, as well as a marine reserve. You will visit the town of St. Lucia, the only town in the world to be completely surrounded by a nature reserve. Explore the streets of St. Lucia as you make your way towards the docks at the end of the main street, here you will board a tour boat that will take you up the estuary and explain all about this natural phenomena. Once complete we continue our journey to Hluluwe Game Reserve. Enter the game park and have your first chance to get acquainted with the animals of Africa! Zebra; giraffe; antelope and other herbivores are all very common and there is always the chance to bump into one of the BIG 5, lion; leopard; rhino; buffalo or elephant……… As the sun sets over the rolling hills of the bushveld exit the park and make your way to your accommodation at Bonamnazi Bush Lodge.
Accommodation:
Bonamanzi is situated on a small game farm etc.

Day 7

girraffe

Wake at dawn to the sounds of the African bush, enter Hluhluwe just after sunrise and begin your search for the rare and dangerous. As well as the big 5 the park also has wild dog; cheetah and hyena. The bird life is extraordinary and the views are magnificent! You’ll stop mid-morning for tea/coffee and biscuits at a look-out point along the way to take in the atmosphere as the sun’s rays heat the landscape and the animals begin to move about. A little later stop on the banks of the Umfolozi River for a truly South African brunch in the shade of a Maroela tree. During the heat of the day relax and take in the sights and sounds of the bushveld, we stop at the convention centre where you will be able to buy curios and do some other shopping. Once done, you’ll have one last afternoon drive through the park and hopefully complete your checklist of animals big and small.
Accommodation:
You’ll spend your last night at Bonamanzi where we’ll have a farewell braai (barbeque) and after supper do a little star gazing.

Day 8

Have morning breakfast out on the balcony over looking the watering hole and then one last stroll in the indigenous gardens. After which we will take a small drive round the reserve before leaving and making our way back to Durban.
