Shaya’s 3 Night Package
We’ve teamed up with the volks at Shayamanzi to provide you with a great once in a life-time package that includes all the Pongola Nature Reserve has to offer. Game viewing, tiger fishing and cruising are all combined into one memorable trip. Add gourmet meals and 5 star service and you have a holiday you’ll never forget!
3 night package:
Day 1:
Arrive at Shayamoya Lodge With it’s spectacular views of the Pongola river as it curves it way to Lake Jozini, Pongola Nature Reserve and the majestic Lembombo Mountains as they stretch north into Swaziland. Spend your first afternoon hanging around the lodge, enjoying the views and wildlife. This evening you’ll enjoy a sumptious dinner at the central lodge…
Day 2:
Your early morning activity will be a game drive in the Pongola Game Reserve, afterwards return to the lodge for a light lunch. At 2pm you will be tranferred to the jetty to board the Shayamanzi Houseboat, then cruise off to find the evening anchorage. Spend the rest of the day tiger fishing by tender boat as the sun sets over the lake and enjoy some snacks and sundowners. A candle lit dinner is served on the decks later that evening….
Day 3:
Wake early to go game viewing or tiger fishing by tender boat. Return to the houseboat and cruise to another part of the lake, breakfast will be served along the way. The second nights anchorage is usually in the gorge where the Lebombo Mountains rise out of the deep, blue waters. Light lunch and tea’s are served up on deck and then you get another opportunity to do some game viewing by tender boat. Once again supper is served up on the decks, enjoy a tasty spread in the silence of nature….
Day 4:
Get one last chance to do some tiger fishing or game viewing and then return to the docks. Breakfast is served on board before you disembark around 10am and are transferred back to the lodge….
